In December 2021, Intersub was born. Part collective, part ensemble, part label, part platform. One year later, our undefinable format has morphed into a compilation of genre-bending sound that journeys through modular synthesis, atmospheric soundscapes, and meditative drones that are disturbed by sirens without compromise. With this compilation we delve into the incomprehensibility of our shared realities - oscillating within the emotive spectrum of the human experience. We celebrate the variety and depth of the music produced by the talented artists in this compilation, and release it with gratitude for the chance to meet such inspiring people in such a short space of time.

Dark Core Scale Compilation

Unconscious evilness. Toxic relationships. Pathological mentality. Fear and anxiety.
Cowardice and opportunism. Self-destructive mental conditions.
But what is the unifying theme among dark traits?
Creative concept of 'Dark Core Scale' compilation, a debut release of Prague-based collective Unizone which also hosts an eponymous party series and a radio show, represents the fascination with the dark corners of human mind. Collaboration of fifteen producers, curated by Unizone soulmates and club-night-ex-guests from all around the world, brings together a wide spectrum of dark club aesthetics, ranging from rave-influenced bangers and nervous rhythms to experimental deconstruction and nightmarish sound design. The process of interpreting 'dark-core' theme has not only negative, but rather deliberating and sometimes even calming effect. Or, using a hyperbole, 'Dark-Core Scale' could be described as a 'reversed industrial music' – as a collaborative release of producers using external tools and sounds for self-exploration.
